Make Up For Ever Artist Face Colour Palette
In one of my YouTube videos that I released a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that one of my favourite powder blush products to use is the Make Up For Ever Artist Face Colour. I was gifted an entire palette of them from one of my very good friends who received the whole line for free. I wanted to share some more information about this palette: what I love, what I will be removing and what I will be adding to the palette in 2018. This post may give you some insight if you are thinking of building your own palette, believe me it's not an easy thing to do because they have sooo many shades available.
For starters this blush is amazing, it is super fine, does not look powdery on the skin, is completely customizable and there are shades for every skin tone. It applies easily and looks extremely natural on camera. It is the prefect product for artists and can be used for any job! The Artist Face Colour can be used as blush but of course there are shades for highlighting and sculpting.
Here is what my palette looks like:
Here is a list of all the colours in the palette:
Row 1 (L to R)
S112, H100, S300, B302
Row 2 (L to R)
S114, H104, B204, B206
Row 3 (L to R)
S400, H102, B216, B308
Row 4 (L to R)
S404, H106, S214, B402
If you are looking to build your own palette: S stands for Sculpt, H for highlight and B for blush. The shades with the heart on them will be staying, but this palette still needs a little bit of work. I'll definitely be getting rid of the powder highlighters that are matte - this is a product/technique that I do not use (to me it never looks right). I'll also likely be getting rid of the huge palette itself and breaking down the face colour into the smaller palettes of 3 that MUFE has. Based on what I've already used i'd like to see what other shades they have for highlighters with a bit of shimmer, I'd also like to add some more neutral sculpting shades (what I have in there now is great for skin with a warm undertone). I'd like some more blush options including a softer rose/pink, something more peachy (less orange) and that should do it.
For anyone interested these retail at $29 CAD before the pro discount of 40% (if you don't have this yet definitely work towards getting it in 2018) and the small container retails at $2 CAD. With all the colour options, and options to make your own palette of any size, this product has quickly become a kit essential for me!
