Choosing The Right Bags For Your Makeup Kit

Finding the right bag to carry all of your makeup around in could be one of the most frustrating parts of the job. They can’t be too big or too heavy, you need to make sure none of your product gets damaged in transit, it has to fit all of your product, look somewhat professional, and of course make your set up and tear down a breeze. I’m inching closer and closer to my perfect combination of bags (I think), and wanted to make your journey in finding the right bags for your kit a little less painful.

Make Up For Ever Artist Face Colour Palette

In one of my YouTube videos that I released a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that one of my favourite powder blush products to use is the Make Up For Ever Artist Face Colour. I was gifted an entire palette of them from one of my very good friends who received the whole line for free. I wanted to share some more information about this palette: what I love, what I will be removing and what I will be adding to the palette in 2018.  This post may give you some insight if you are thinking of building your own palette, believe me it's not an easy thing to do because they have sooo many shades available.

Vueset Nude Lip Palette

I've been talking about downsizing my kit for the last 6 months and it's finally happening. To everyone that recommended the Vueset Tahiti palette THANK YOU! They are the perfect size and now I want to put everything I can into these little guys. The palette I created has my favourite nudes from MAC, Maybelline and L'Oreal. It contains nudes for all skin tones, both sheer and matte nudes and nudes with a hint of colour.

You can basically design your own custom lash - it's AMAZING. The shoot called for a before lashes shot, an 'after' shot with lashes and a second look with a fuller pair of lashes and more intense makeup (if I recall we had about 3-4 hours to capture all of this, including hair). Let me walk you through how I created these looks and how I got all of this done in less than half a day.

How To Work With Eyebrows That Are Going Grey

My last post on working with mature skin had a lot of you asking about more specific makeup application techniques, specifically when it comes to brows. As we all know a good brow can make a face. Good brows mean less eye makeup and a fuller groomed brow can make you look younger - but brows are not immune to going grey. For both MUA's and anyone dealing with brows that are starting to go grey it can be hard to figure out what to do when you are presented with a brow that contains a few grey hairs.

Tips For Applying Makeup On Mature Skin

Applying makeup on mature skin is one of those topics I get asked about frequently. For those of you reading currently in makeup school, you will have very minimal experience working with mature skin in class. When you get into the real world this is going to be one of those things that will be the most challenging type of makeup application for you during the early stages of your career.
